This data file contains the following 3 variables in the order shown:
Hospital 1 = A 2 = B 3 = C
Occupation 1 = Nurse 2 = Doctor
Knowledge score range 0 to 50
Answer the following questions on this sample:
(a) Obtain an estimate and its standard error for the true population mean knowledge
score. (2 marks)
(b) A score above 40 is considered adequate knowledge. Obtain an estimate and its
standard error for the true population proportion who have adequate knowledge.
(2 marks)
(c) Estimate the true population mean knowledge score and standard error within each of
the six strata. (1 marks)
(d) Compare your estimates in (a) with those obtained by analysing the data as though this
were a simple random sample. Comment on your results.
