The state's right to decision

  Since federalism allows the states freedom to make their own decisions as long as they are not prohibited by federal laws or rules, what actions do you see states making currently. Some of the items included but are not limited to legalizing marijuana, same sex marriage and sanctuary cities. I am not necessarily looking to see if you agree with each of these topics, but why you think it is a good idea that the state has the right to decide.
