- Contact two people with supervisory/managerial responsibilities from the organization who are willing to be interviewed for your project.
- Conduct and interview of at least 15 minutes with each one.
Some questions to include:
What is the organization’s: - Mission (what the organization does)
- Vision (how the individual hopes to see the organization have impacts for the
future) - Key values (depending on the organization, these may or may not be formal
Statements). - The individual’s roles and responsibilities
- What is the most fulfilling aspects of the manager’s work?
- What are some of the challenges in the manager’s work?
- What they see as the three most aspects of managing effectively.
- How the way in which they manage now is different from the way they managed initially.
- Advice for college students who would like to work in supervision and management in the future.
