The following is a research credibility paper for my “Psychology of adolescence and emerging adulthood”
class. This is a c level course.
During our lectures and in the book, we have been learning about and discussing claims about human
development during adolescence and emerging adulthood. The majority of these claims are based on peerreviewed, empirical research that have been published in academic journals. Recently, psychologists have
called attention to the fact that many findings in psychology may not be replicable or reproducible (Vazire,
2018). Your assignment is to critically evaluate a claim that you find interesting by investigating the evidence
for it. Specifically, you will identify an interesting claim discussed during lecture or in the book. Then, you will
perform a literature search to examine peer-reviewed, empirical research on the claim. You will critically
evaluate the research that you found in your literature search with regard to issues of conceptualization,
measurement, methodology, generalizability, future research directions, and transparency.
