Examples:

1. Fortune 500 companies, like all companies in the US, propose to be equal opportunity employers. Yet in the entire history of the fortune 500, there have only been 18 Black CEO’s and there are only 4 currently. This is typical of the abstract liberalist frame in that companies will not hesitate to put out statements of support for diversity, or statements that denounce racism, but this is all in the abstract. In actuality, these companies embody racism through their hiring and/or promotional practices.
2. Soho Karen – The one that accused the 14yr old Black boy of stealing her phone in the hotel lobby. When explaining her actions to Gale King she used the naturalization frame saying “I wasn’t racial profiling, I just stopped the first person that came down because anybody could’ve had my phone.” She denies the racism by implying that she chose the Black boy naturally because he was the first person to come into the lobby. She also used the minimization frame to minimize her racism by saying that because she’s partly Puerto Rican, so this wasn’t a racist incident.
