Discuss at least two dimensions of inequality (such as; social class gender, and racial and ethnic diversity) in early Boston. How was power divided and maintained? What were the consequences for disadvantaged groups (such as immigrants)? Do you see some similarities with contemporary social problems in Boston today? In other words, who had/has the most power, how did/do they try to maintain it, and what were and are some of the negative consequences for new arrivals and minorities?
