social class and inequality

This week we talked about social class and inequality, and did a deep dive into the water disaster in Flint, Michigan. We saw how social class stratification impacts people's lives in astounding ways. So with all that in mind, reflect on some aspects of the following… how (in what practices, tastes, infrastructure, etc) do you see social class around you? How does social class shape your life or the lives of your community members? Is it useful to understand social issues in terms of class and inequality, and why? Is class inequality inevitable, or is another more equitable world possible?
