You have examined the important parts of a good research report. Now, it is time for you to write a section of a
research report.
The main areas on which you focus are findings and discussion. Having your results and understanding them
is one thing, but being able to describe them in terms that apply to real life is another. For this report, you need
to make your results applicable and meaningful to social work. Questions you might ask yourself are, “What do
these results look like in real life?” and “Why does this matter?” Asking these questions can help you try to
understand the data in a new light.
For this Assignment, you use the results from the previous data analysis worksheets to write up the data. You
then transform the data into a discussion that is meaningful to the profession of social work and other social
sciences.
