Compare an image from the Renaissance with one from the Baroque. You may choose either the two Last Supper paintings or two (or three) of the David sculptures. Your discussion should center around humanism and the analogy that is stated above - the idea that the there are some major similarities in both theme and visual presence between ancient Greek art produced 480-150 B.C.E. (Classical and Hellenistic) and that produced in Europe between 1400-1700 (Renaissance and Baroque). Please take a look at the Doryphorus and the Laocoon as good examples of Classicism and Hellenistic art.
