Slide 1: WHS Legislation in Queensland
The Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld) outlines the legal requirements for managing work health and safety risks in Queensland. It requires that employers assess the workplace for potential risks associated with hazardous activities or situations, develop safe systems of work by identifying hazards associated with each task carried out in the workplace, and provide information about these potential risk factors to employees. The legislation also requires employers to take all reasonable steps to ensure workers’ protection from harm at all times.

Slide 2: Agency Commitment to Ethical Standards
Our agency is committed to providing a safe working environment while upholding ethical standards. We have implemented several initiatives such as increasing awareness among staff members of proper WHS processes through regular training sessions on WHS topics; introducing policies on reporting incidents promptly; using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE); conducting hazard assessments prior to any new procedures being introduced; having an open-door policy when responding quickly to employee concerns; establishing an anonymous incident reporting process; providing adequate resources for safety purposes such as emergency exits or fire extinguishers; encouraging employees’ participation in WHS activities by hosting events like WHS Week every year; introducing mental health programs for employees with more challenging workloads.

Slide 3: Agency Organization & Representation of Responsibilities
In order for us meet our obligations under the law regarding WHS matters our organization has created a dedicated team responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative requirements concerning workplace health & safety issues. This team is made up of personnel from various departments including management representatives from HR, finance, planning & operations etc., who collaborate together regularly so that everyone understands their roles & responsibilities relating to WHS practices within our organization. Our organizational structure chart demonstrating this can be seen below [insert image].
