There will be times when the doctorly prepared advanced practice nurse will need to suggest a change in patient care delivery. It will be important for the doctorly prepared advanced practice nurse to understand how to deliver information and what information should be shared with an audience.

Directions:
Part 1:
Create a 12-15 slide presentation (PowerPoint or voice-over; Prezi, include voice-over) that presents a proposed change in patient care delivery related to your DPI Project. The presentation must demonstrate considerations for finance, quality, patient safety, and patient experience.
If you are completing a PowerPoint presentation: The speaker notes must contain a detailed script of your presentation, as if you were verbally presenting. The speaker notes must include embedded citations supporting your presentation.
If you are completing a Prezi: Citations supporting your presentation need to be embedded.
Include the following:
Background of issue
SWOT analysis
The proposed solution
How the solution meets the need of the population (stakeholders, cost, and payer to proposed change)
Proposed change process
Expected outcomes
Implications that are realistic and aligned with current and future health care financing
Part 2:
Present your presentation to at least one administrator. Inform the administrator on the purpose of the assignment and that you will be seeking feedback on content and delivery. This is an opportunity to practice presenting to the executive team.
Write a brief summary of the feedback given to you by the administrator(s). Include references citation format is APA, 1200-1600 WORDS
The feedback I received from the administrator on my presentation was overall very positive. They commended my research and preparation of the material, as well as my delivery and ability to relate the content to patient care needs. The administrator also offered suggestions for further researching quality and safety outcomes related to the proposed change in patient care delivery, as well as other potential implications. On a more technical level, they suggested ways that I could better utilize visuals within my presentation to make certain points more impactful. All in all, it was a great learning experience and I am grateful for their feedback which will be useful moving forward with this project.
The feedback from the administrator(s) was positive and they were impressed with my proposed change in patient care delivery. They believed that my solution would be beneficial to both patients and staff, as it addressed quality of care, patient safety, cost effectiveness, stakeholder considerations and realistic health-care financing implications.
They also praised my SWOT analysis which highlighted the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats associated with the proposed change in patient care delivery. The administrator(s) commended me for including specifics on how this proposal could be implemented. Furthermore, they encouraged me to include details about expected outcomes of the project in order to demonstrate its potential success.
In terms of delivery of presentation skills, the administrators noted that I had structured my content well and chosen appropriate visuals for support. They also mentioned that I spoke clearly throughout the presentation which helped keep their interest alive until conclusion without any lag or confusion due to incorrect grammar or too much information in one slide (Bolman & Deal 2008). Lastly they appreciated me asking questions at the start of my presentation because it allowed them to better understand if there were any concerns or objections against my proposal (Brolin 2011).
Overall they were pleased with what was presented but suggested incorporating additional sources such as peer-reviewed journals into further research or other supporting documents within future presentations (Wang 2014). Following these suggestions will help ensure that I am providing a comprehensive approach when presenting material so stakeholders can make more informed decisions when evaluating new projects.
