Improving the employee’s behavior?

      You have an employee that is consistently late to work, chooses to work alone instead of his/her assigned team, and completes the bare minimum necessary for his/her assignments, which are typically turned in late. What do you think the problem may be? Is punishment an acceptable solution here? What actions would you take to improve the employee’s behavior?
