As a black woman living in the South, I am all too familiar with the injustices that we face. Growing up here, I learned to be vigilant and mindful of my actions and words in order to protect myself from discrimination or any harm that could come my way. Even though I understand the importance of being careful due to the prejudice minorities often face, I also choose to see the beauty in this region and its culture. One of my favorite things about living here is that it gave me a strong connection to history; especially when it came to Greek and Roman mythology – something which has always been very fascinating for me since childhood.

I have always loved reading stories about mythical creatures like Zeus, Juno and Athena as well as heroes such as Odysseus and Hercules – their bravery has been an inspiration for me throughout life. While studying their tales more closely over time, I couldn’t help but question some of Aristotle’s ideas regarding humans’ logical thinking capabilities; his view was heavily debated by other philosophers such as Plato who thought differently on the matter. Although these two great minds had opposing beliefs on this subject (and many others), they both agreed on one thing: that human behavior is complex and not easy to fully comprehend based solely on reason alone. This resonated strongly with me because no matter how much effort people put into understanding another person’s situation or feelings – there will still be gaps within communication if we don’t take part in active listening while trying our best to empathize with each other’s experiences.

Aside from learning more about philosophy through books, traveling abroad has also allowed me gain further insight into different cultures around world – allowing me further understanding towards humanity than before which is invaluable for any personal growth journey! Whenever possible, I try set aside time during vacation breaks/holidays so that can explore new places without worrying too much about work/life balance at home – travel continues bring out joy even after years passed since first starting out journey . My curiosity is what drives urge visit new places despite obstacles such fear leaving comfort zone behind or expenses involved – no matter where go , discover learn something valuable each time .

Overall , these days appreciate little moments life offer unlike before when might taken for granted — through difficult times , continue strive do better instead feeling defeated . Though may disagree Aristotle’s opinion certain aspects think human nature , believe staying open-minded critical having meaningful conversations with those around us move forward together stronger than ever before .
