Determine compliance with various organizations that dictate health and performance standards for materials and furniture.
Research commercial grade products – a fabric, a piece of furniture, and a fixture (faucets, toilets, etc.) and identify compliance with various testing requirements.
Compare compliance issues by also researching “residential grade†fabric, furniture, and fixtures. (West Elm, Pottery Barn, Wayfair, etc.)
Do some research on the testing organization(s). Based on what they test, what are some observations you have about residential grade vs. commercial grade elements?
