Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) is emerging as a novel treatment for mental health conditions, and in addition the recreational use of magic mushrooms is increasing. Several online stores are now selling magic mushrooms on-line in Canada, and appear to be tolerated as a pseudo-legal "grey market". This all combines into a need for good public education on the use of magic mushrooms. Unlike alcohol and cannabis, low-risk harm reduction guidelines do not yet exist for psilocybin.
