Greek Art

You will be creating an infographic chart on the evolution of Greek statues. Greek Art worked desperately to perfect the human form. Ancient Greek artworks reflect the values of Greek society. Remember the more you looked like a god the more you were treated like one. They became a body-obsessed society who created highly unrealistic images of the body. Thousands of years later our society is very similar. Choose an image from our visual culture (celebrities, films, comics, Disney, social media, advertising, etc) that continues to show unrealistic bodies. Students in the past have chosen so many wonderful topics from plastic surgery, the evolution of Spider-Man, waist-training and corsets.. the point is, it’s pretty much everywhere in our lives and are still very much influenced from Ancient Greek art! 3Please also demonstrate in your response how they are unrealistic and why do you believe they are socially acceptable images?
