Select a familiar European fairy tale (e.g. Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves,
etc.). Find at least two (and no more than four) variations of this fairy tale. Construct a chart to illustrate what
the tales have in common and how they differ. Then, write a response analyzing what you found. Did the fairy
tales have more in common than you were expecting? What did you notice across the tales? Was it hard to
identify the tale types and motifs?
