Management Problem:
The challenge that I face as the manager of a Human Resources Department at a large tech company is how to incentivize and retain employees in an increasingly competitive job market.

Research Problem:
What type of incentives are most effective for motivating and retaining employees within a large technology company?

Research Design:
This research project will utilize deductive research, which involves collecting data from existing sources in order to prove or disprove pre-existing hypotheses. The study will employ both quantitative and qualitative methods in order to accurately assess employee motivation and satisfaction with their current employer. In terms of quantitative data collection techniques, survey methods such as questionnaires and interviews will be employed in order to collect numerical data about employees’ opinions on various aspects of their work environment, such as compensation structure, career opportunities, flexibility, benefits package, etc. Additionally, focus groups composed of key stakeholders (e.g., managers) could provide valuable insight into how best to motivate staff.

In terms of sampling technique/size, a nonprobability sample consisting primarily of current employees who have worked at the company for at least one year would be used due its convenience characteristics (i.e., easy access). This sample size may vary depending on the scope/depth of the research being conducted but should include approximately 100 individuals (or more depending on budget constraints/ legal requirements). All participants must be treated ethically and appropriately by adhering to all relevant laws pertaining to participant anonymity/confidentiality as well as providing adequate financial compensation for those involved if applicable or required by law or company procedures.
The dependent variable in this study would be employee retention rates while independent variables include salary levels; quality of benefits; level autonomy given; team dynamics; mentorship opportunities offered; upward mobility potentials; job security; organizational culture & climate; etc.. These variables may be measured using dichotomous responses (yes/no); discrete responses using Likert scale surveys (strongly agree – strongly disagree); continuous responses using open-ended questions allowing free-form answers from participants.; etc.. Generally speaking these variables can range from very broad topics like organizational culture & climate down to granular details within each topic area such as asking specifically about paid time off / vacation policies within overall benefits packages provided by the organization.

Ethical Issues: All ethical considerations must also be taken into account when conducting studies involving human subjects including gaining appropriate consent prior to any data collection activities taking place regardless if it is through voluntary participation or not . Furthermore , researchers must guarantee anonymity throughout all parts fo the process & ensure that personal information shared remains confidential even after completion . Additionally , any sort of payment or incentive provided during this study should remain equitable among participants regardless age , gender and other demographic factors . Finally , there should always remain clear communication between researcher & participant so expectations are established beforehand that outlines what exactly needs are expected out fo each individual taking part in this research project .
