The expansion of European exploration and colonization during the early modern period had a huge impact on the world, affecting different cultures in diverse ways. Asians, Africans, and Native Americans all experienced this period differently due to their varied circumstances.

Asian countries such as China and Japan saw a great deal of trade with Europe which was beneficial for both sides. Trade between these two regions became important for the development of their economies, increasing wealth and allowing Europeans access to goods that were previously difficult to obtain (Aldcroft & Aldcroft, 2019). This increased exchange led to some cultural mixing through intermarriage but there was also strong resistance from Asian communities against encroachments by Europeans into their lives(Aldcroft & Aldcroft, 2019). Although they experienced some domination by European powers during this period they maintained significant autonomy over internal affairs. Hence even though Asians felt profound effects from the early modern expansion they were still very much active agents in shaping those changes due to their economic prowess which enabled them resist complete domination at times.

In Africa however Europeans almost completely dominated African societies leading to colonialism and exploitation (Lewis et al., 2016). As part of the triangular slave trade European slavers captured millions of Africans who were then sold off as labour or used in plantation production across other parts of the world (Lewis et al., 2016). In addition European colonial rule caused immense disruption within African societies leading to a myriad of social issues including poverty, inequality and political unrest (Lewis et al., 2016). Despite all this Europeans did not have complete control over situations since African natives often offered native alternatives to replace their traditions or resisted direct orders from colonizers when possible (Lewis et al., 2016). These actions enabled Africans maintain some element of agency thus proving that they too could shape outcomes despite not being able to decisively alter the systems that governed their lives.

Finally Native Americans felt an incredible amount of pressure from European colonists to give up land and resource sin order to possess wealthy agricultural regions(Kuppermann etal., 2011; Thornton 2002)often resulting displacement from ancestral homelands(Thornton2002; Kuppermannetal., 2011). Like the Africans many were forcedi nto labor on plantations or taken as slaves depending on local circumstances(Thornton2002; Kuppermannetal., 2011), further disrupting traditional lifeways and customs.(Kuppermannetal .2011; Thornton 2002)However Native American salso resisted colonial rule whenever possible by employing variety of strategies including working together with other   allying themselves through trade agreements with Europeans.(Kuppermanetal .2011; Thornton 2002)Thus Natives displayed active agency despite being affected so negatively by early modern European expansion as well as their continued subjugation under colonial rule in the long term..

In conclusion early modern European exploration has profoundly affected some area  soft he world more than others resulting in diverse experiences for Asians Africans and NativeAmericansrespectivelyYetallthreecultureswereabletoclaimsomeleveloffreedomthroughoppositiontotheoverarching poweroftheWestenablingeachgrouptoinfluencetheoutcomeoftheirexperienceatvariousdegreesratherthantobecomemerevictimsofthesituation.
