Essay : Proposal

      What to do: 1. Identify a problem or issue in your local area (city or state) and attempt to determine the problem’s causes. 2. Perform research on the topic and analyze/evaluate the data generated. You must use information from at least one primary source (surveys, questionnaires, interviews, observation, and other firsthand evidence) and at least two different types of secondary sources (periodicals, books, government publications, etc.). Tertiary sources may be used but they will not count toward the minimum number of sources required. 3. Write a proposal paper which consists of a problem statement, argument and counterargument. Note: Do NOT write about abortion, the death penalty, gun control or video games and violence.
