They are typically designed to interface with complex systems at another organization and can be deployed across a variety of networks. Deploying a complex system requires detailed planning while meeting security requirements and business goals.
An example of this is ABC Corp who is a large retailer that is looking to expand its business online. They have hired you to do a feasibility study prior to the project implementation.
The plan is to use ABCShop, a Java based shopping platform to improve the services to customers. ABCShop maintains the details of customer payments, product receipts, addition of new customers, products and also updating deletions. It also stores the details of invoices generated by customers, including payments and payments details like credit card information and PayPal.
This class project is an opportunity to demonstrate what you have learned in this course. Each module you will be implementing additional knowledge to your finished product.
