A court system just (fair) pretrial bail system would include bail release which means that a person pays money to be released from jail before trial but must appear at every court date that is assigned to the individual to get their money back.
Individuals can get bond throughout the pretrial system which means they can put up property or some type of collateral; that matches the amount of the bail. For instances, like a house, property, cars, and jewelry.
An individual can get ROR during the pretrial bail system which means Release on One’s Recognizance, that’s when the court see’s that the defendant has no pending charges. The defendant then can sign written documentation stating that they will appear at every court date without posting bail or bond.
Electronic Monitoring is another form of pre-trial release which monitors the defendant every location. The individual usually has to be in the house at a certain time and if not it’s usually a violation and the individual can be sent back to jail throughout the trial process.
