Option B:
The most common cause of death in adults aged 25-34 is unintentional injuries such as motor vehicle accidents, poisoning, and falls. Developmental processes play a major role in the causes of these types of deaths due to behaviors that are associated with this age group. For instance, during young adulthood there is an increased risk for substance abuse, which can lead to impaired driving or poisoning; impulsivity and risk-taking behaviors can also contribute to higher rates of injury or death.
Additionally, physical changes that occur during this time period can impact coordination and balance which may increase the likelihood of falls. As individuals transition into older adulthood, cognitive abilities begin to decline leading to decreased judgment when faced with potentially dangerous situations. This can further increase the risk for accidental injury or death at older ages.
