Draw on developmental psychology research and theory to provide the teacher with advice. • What developmental outcome, area of development, or type of adjustment do you choose to focus on? And what level of schooling? • Identify a theory that relates to that outcome, and that you will use as a basis for the advice that you give. Also identify the person who developed the theory. • Provide a brief explanation of the theory that your advice to the teacher is based on. What are the main ideas proposed by the theorist? • Provide at least two examples of how the teacher should apply your chosen theory in order to help their students have a positive school experience. • Define all terms and concepts that are relevant to the applications that you describe.
