Development of Early Airmail

    Review the website Airmail Service (Links to an external site.) from the Smithsonian National Postal Museum that is dedicated to the history of the U.S. Air Mail Service. Refer to the Airmail in America Section Head and the additional tabs along the right. Prepare a one-page (not including cover and reference pages) APA-formatted summary report on the impact of early governmental legislation (i.e.the 1925 Air Mail Act (Kelly Act) and the 1926 Air Commerce Act), and how early daring airmail pilots used their aviation skills to create a budding commercial industry.
