Envision that you are crafting this initial curriculum and presenting it to a curriculum committee for review and approval for use at a university. Please review the course name and description and complete the requirements
Course Description: Theories of Psychotherapy
This course presents various theories of psychotherapy and their respective philosophical principles and assumptions. Learners evaluate the theoretical concepts and evidence-based practices of psychotherapy and examine appropriate application of theories and interventions to a diverse client population.
Instructional Design Plan (4–6 slides)
After reviewing the course description, design two teaching activities appropriate for the course. One of the activities will be designed for face-to-face classroom use and the other for an online learning environment. Then, one of the two teaching activities will need to incorporate the use of technology. Address the following for each of the two activities:
Provide an explanation of how the activity is aligned with the concepts of androgogy and adult learning.
Provide an explanation of the teaching pedagogy from which the teaching activities are grounded.
Provide step-by-step guidelines for the instructional design and delivery of the activity.
Address how learning will assessed for each activity.
