      Culture Clash is a Chicano American performance troupe composed of the writer-comedians Herbert Sigüenza, Richard Montoya and Ric Salinas. Together they created works ranging from comedic skits to full-length plays and screenplays, all of which featured political or social satire since the 1984. Satire is a genre of literature, and sometimes graphic and performing arts, in which vices, follies, abuses and shortcomings are held up to ridicule, ideally with the intent of shaming individuals, corporations, government, or society itself into improvement; the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.
