Create Your Own Tomb

Imagine that you are an Egyptian pharaoh planning your tomb. As a person who
believes deeply in the religion of your culture, you want to ensure that your body and
soul will be well provided for in your subsequent journey to the afterlife.
Write a letter addressed to your advisors describing the type of tomb and decorative
features you require. In your letter,
• List 8 objects to be buried with you.
• For each object on your list, explain what materials should be used to make them
and why they are needed.
• Be sure to reference ancient Egyptian beliefs about the afterlife in your
explanations.
