Choose two examples of sculpture from Chapter 2 Ancient Near East and two examples of sculpture from Chapter 3 Ancient Egypt. 2.Identify each including title, date, civilization, and stylistic period (i.e. Old Kingdom), and include an image or hyperlink of each work. In 1000 words, compare and contrast the style and purpose of the sculptures. Place each work within a cultural context. Discuss religion, political and social hierarchy. Discuss the function of the works and their media and technique (i.e. carving from sandstone).
