Children's Book Reviews

    TQR: Taste, Quality, Review A TQR will be a 1 page critique report on 10 children’s books.. The first paragraph will discuss your opinion of the book and if it was a book that children would enjoy and why? The second paragraph will identify one quality in the book that stood out for you. The qualities could be style, setting, plot, characters, and themes. We will be identifying qualities in the first two weeks of class. The final paragraph will include 1 review from outside sources. Do not write out the reviews that you read, rather, include a discussion of them and whether you disagree or agree with the reviewers. Be sure to cite the source in the third paragraph. The Children's books can be any that you choose. However they can NOT include the following; Santa's Hat by Nancy Parent, I am a mouse by Ole Risom, Panda Whispers by Mary Beth Owens, When will it be spring by Catherine Walters, Summer at Summit Ridge Farm by Jan Prenoveau, The Bumpy little pumpkin by Margery Cuyler, Animal Homes by Kathleen Daly, and Come Along Daisy by Jane Simmons
