Childhood and adolescent anxiety.

    1. There are conflicting accounts of childhood and adolescent anxiety. On one hand, it has been suggested that pathological anxiety in children is underrecognized and undertreated. At the same time others claim that children are overtreated with psychoactive medications. How can we distinguish between pathologic anxiety and the normal manifestations/experience of growth and development during these periods? 2. How does parental involvement impact short and long term outcomes in childhood and adolescent anxiety? 3.
