Call to ask Congress or the Senate to support some type of legislation

1a) Read the attached lecture notes on effective communication, then visit the "Take Action" page of the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) website. Click on "Issues" and select an issue of your interest (click on the subtopic within that issue). Read the information, then click on the "More" link to continue reading the information. Usually within this information there is a call to ask Congress or the Senate to support some type of legislation, *so you can write a letter to your congress person or senator requesting them to support the issue based on some of the facts from the ACLU page.* Don't forget give the ACLU credit in your letter (According to the ACLU, "43% of women return to an abusive relationship due to difficulty finding housing").
