Approaches to policing

    Part I: In 400-500 words, consider the differences between reactive, proactive, and coactive policing. Explain the advantages and disadvantages of each and provide examples. Part II: In 500-750 words, pick an issue in your community and explain why it is a problem. Describe the laws that are being violated. Explain specific aspects of the issue, which make it a violation of those laws. (comp. 1.3) Describe how you would use the coactive policing approach to address this issue. Describe the steps you would take to verify the problem, and analyze the situation including its effect on the stakeholders. Describe what a six-point response plan might include to address this issue.
