Both Crete and Rapa Nui (Easter Island) represent small island settings where prehistoric
cultures developed. In several important ways, both societies were very similar. However,
their differences were even more pronounced. Compare and contrast the civilizations
that developed on these islands and explain some of the reasons that might account for
these similarities and differences. How did their island setting affect their development?
