Analyzing the Building Core

          The core of a building serves several purposes, and is often comprised of standard elements. In addition to the standard elements, however, other design features should be factored into the building’s design. For this Discussion, you will define the elements that comprise the core of a commercial building. Specifically, address the following: What is the building core? What is its purpose? What elements comprise the building core? What are differences in the functionality of the core of a six story building versus a 60-story building?
