Presentations
Throughout the quarter, you will be responsible for sharing their analytic reading responses with the class in an interactive and creative presentation. This means that you will get the chance to introduce key themes, vocabulary, issues, and concerns, poetic devices from the assigned poems. These presentations should include: 1) reading the poem out loud to the class 2) cogent summarization of the poem, 2) your own quick analysis on the poetic work as well as the secondary article (its main points or central arguments that engages with the course,) 3) a close reading of two to three select passages that get at the points your analyses of the secondary materials are making. (please turn in a 1-2 page handout from your presentation and incorporate the poetry presentation guidelines in your handout).
