The campaign should focus on creating relevant social media content for a clearly defined audience group via the most
effective channels.
Students are required to choose one of the scenarios below, which incorporate varied communication challenges including brand awareness building, crisis management, content planning, and building social media influencer networks.
Political: Devise a brand awareness raising campaign for a political party to allow them to gain traction with the target audience. Utilise different social media approaches while considering the ethics of social media.
Charity: Due to sociological influences like increased cost of living, falling pound, and recent public relations crisis, UK charities are seeing a decrease in donations and support. Devise a reputation building campaign that inspires the target audiences. Consider consumer behaviour triggers, storytelling, and the use of influencers.
Consumer: Devise an innovative content led product launch for a major consumer brand. The campaign most appeal to the target audience and encourage online engagement. Consider content planning, brand values and consumer behaviour.
Fashion: In order to reach new audiences a fashion brand would like to build relationships with social influencers. Devise a strategy that place celebrity endorsement, social influencers and brand ambassadors at the centre. Consider consumer behaviour, brand values, content planning, community management, legal and ethical requirements and crisis planning.
Each individual solution must include:
• Three clearly defined and researched audience profiles;
• All relevant stakeholders;
• A content plan that includes a justification of the channels used, key messages, and an understanding of consumer behaviour;
• Samples of similar or relevant content to illustrate how the campaign would look online.
