1. Consider your client’s baseline information (see below). You can use an actual person, a fictitious average person, or yourself. List your “client’s” Age Height Weight Previous exercise experience Next consider these additional factors: a. Vo2 Max – How would you assess it? What information would the results provide and how would it affect your design of a training program for your athlete? b. Training Heart Rate Zone including Resting Heart Rate and Maximum Heart Rate – How would you assess it? What information would the results provide and how would it affect your design of a training program for your athlete? c. BMI – How would you assess it? What information would the results provide and how would it affect your design of a training program for your athlete? d. Body Fat Percentage – How would you assess it? What information would the results provide and how would it affect your design of a training program for your athlete? 2. List and describe your client’s goal(s). These should be physiologically specific and be able to be addressed via your designed program. Remember that goals should be "SMART" – specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and timely. 3. Provide a detailed 4-week Cardiorespiratory exercise plan that you design to help them reach their goal(s). Include the modes of exercise, intensity, duration, frequency and how the individual would progress as they saw improvements.
